Wine Education with a Difference

Prancing Horse Estate has a unique set of capabilities to deliver outstanding wine masterclass sessions showcasing the major wine regions of France. The winery has been a major importer of French wine since 2010, from Champagne, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Northern Rhone, Sancerre, Alsace, Savoie, Bandol and Corsia. The masterclasses are held monthly at the vineyard in Red Hill South and run for three hours, limited to twelve participants. Each session showcases eight to ten wines matched with outstanding dishes that are a specialty of the region under review, from Champagne, Bordeaux, to Savoir and Nothern Rhone. The masterclass sessions are conducted by Denise Dwyer, the cellar door manager, and Tony Hancy, the owner, producer and importer. These sessions are a must for all lovers of wine. The 2025 programme will be announced in February. Bookings can be made via the website in early 2025, or pre-bookings can be made by contacting Tony Hancy directly (0419 393 145, ahancy@bigpond.net.au).
