Mandala Has A Go At Pinot Grigio
Located in the iconic Yarra Valley, Mandala Wines is renowned for its award-winning pinot noirs and chardonnays, but that doesn’t mean the team don’t love to try new things. In 2019, the team behind Mandala Wines, vigneron Charles Smedley and winemaker Don Pople, produced their first pinot grigio variety, and it has proven to be a refreshing drop; with hints of grapefruit, pear and mandarin, a racy line of natural acidity and a savoury finish. The Mandala Wines team are thrilled to see it walking out the cellar door.
Mandala Wines is also excited to announce that both its 2017 Matriarch Pinot Noir and 2017 Compass Chardonnay were given a 95-point rating in the recent release of the Halliday Wine Companion. Both are available for tasting and purchase at the Dixon’s Creek cellar door.
Here’s to new varieties and old favourites from the Yarra!
