Kyneton Ridge Estate is pleased to share that its 2023 vintage has finally drawn to a close with the pressing of the winery’s 2023 Macedon Cabernet Sauvignon. They were challenged first by some extreme weather and then by late flowering and fruit set. However, the unique terroir of Kyneton Ridge Vineyard resulted in accelerated ripening due to some late season sunshine. This allowed for harvest at the same time as 2022. By the end of the season, the vineyard saw good yields and lifted fruit quality. Now, Kyneton Ridge Estate are excited about the potential of the 2023 wines.

As well as the winery’s successful vintage season, Kyneton Ridge Estate is delighted to share the release of the latest vintage of two of the winery’s most popular wines. After careful cellaring, the latest release of the winery’s methode tradtionale sparkling shiraz is now on shelves. This tasteful wine remains true to its lineage as a full flavoured and balanced wine to be properly enjoyed around a cosy fire in winter or chilled out on Kyneton Ridge Estate’s café deck in the glorious sunshine.

The winery’s rich and fruitful 2022 Cabernet Shiraz is also now available to enjoy. This has been created to be a great accompaniment for food, particularly pizza, pasta and paella. Made up of a perfect blend of sixty percent Macedon Cabernet sauvignon and forty percent Heathcote Shiraz. The Macedon Cabernet brings lightness, finesse, great natural acidity and soft tannins that when combined with the beautiful fruitfulness of the Heathcote Shiraz delivers a satisfying but not overbearing red wine to accompany a great range of southern European style foods.
