Fifty Years and Still Sparkling

2021 marks fifty years of Anderson Winery’s very own Howard Anderson making impeccable sparkling wines.

Starting his sparkling wine journey in 1971 with Seppelt’s Great Western, Howard spent fifteen years honing his skills, improving his knowledge, and gaining valuable experience. In 1986 moved to Rutherglen where he made the first sparkling red and white wines in North East Victoria, before establishing the Anderson vineyard and winery in 1992 where Howard continued to produce exquisite sparkling wines by the traditional method.

Honouring fifty years of success, Howard is now imparting his inexhaustible wealth of knowledge to his daughter Christobelle, and together they produce a range of traditionally made red and white sparkling wines that are aged on yeast lees in the bottle for a minimum of three years before release.

To commemorate this momentous achievement, the Andersons will be celebrating with a series of exclusive degustation dinners – carefully designed to harmoniously pair with and celebrate the sparkling wines!
