A Timeless Transformation
Wynnton Ridge has recently transformed the vineyard’s charming 100-year-old dairy into a cosy tasting room, making it one of the must-see wineries along the Mornington Peninsula.
The fully refurbished space exudes rustic appeal, retaining some of its older, historical features including the tin walls and wooden floorboards for an authentic experience, with warm lighting and wine barrels. Here, visitors can enjoy tastings of well-priced, award-winning cool-climate wines from estate-grown grapes, while relaxing on a comfy armchair and taking in the beautiful views of the Stoney Creek valley. The tasting room can be accessed via the newly installed pathway, the only invitation you’ll need to try one of the vineyard’s award-winning varieties, from chardonnay to pinot gris and pinot noir.
Family-owned and -operated, Wynnton Ridge Vineyard was first established in 1994 by David and Marilyn Jones, and has been producing quality wines ever since. The cellar door and tasting room are open on long weekends or by appointment. For a taste of history and fine, cool-climate wines, stop by Wynnton Ridge Vineyard.
