The family’s vision is one of crafting estate-grown wines that are reflective of the distinct qualities of its Coldstream location and the purity of each varietal it produces. This is combined with a shared commitment to building a sustainable winemaking business that does not compromise on quality. Introducing a sustainable viticulture procedure that combines the application of biodynamic and organic practices, the team at Warramunda Estate carefully manages the soil’s microflora to provide a positive growing environment. Wild yeasts from the vineyard are then subsequently utilised in the fermentation process. The significance of these practices is coming to fruition, with Warramunda Estate being acknowledged with an illustrious five-star rating in the 2019 edition of the Halliday Wine Companion.
