Winter Wine Weekend – June 2019
Winter Wine Weekend is held during the Queen’s Birthday long weekend in June every year! The opening event of the weekend is the 2019 Winter Wine fest is held at the Red Hill Showground, which will be an exhibition and tasting that traditionally marks the beginning of the extensive program. During the weekend, you’ll have the chance to taste around 200 premium wines from 47 wineries, as well as a special menu created by 9 chefs and one cheesemaker.
Each ticket includes a complimentary Riedel tasting glass, all wine tastings, a tasting book and two entree-sized dishes (more food vouchers also available for purchase). Designated driver tickets are also available for $65 ($70 on the day) and include all of the above except no wine tastings are included. Food vouchers will be issued to all ticket holders on entry. Please note that wine by the glass will be available to purchase to enjoy with your meal if desired, but any wine purchased by bottle cannot to be consumed at the venue, due to liquor licensing.
Also showcased during the weekend are 8 local restaurants with inspiring entree-sized dishes that perfectly complement the wines on offer and provide a taste of the Mornington Peninsula’s regional excellence. The quality of the food is created to match the forty year development of premium wines.
