Trofeo Estate

Sitting proudly within the foothills of Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula, Trofeo Estate is a family-owned winery established by Jim and Kath Manolios in 2012. At the heart of this boutique winery, a converted 1930s cannery serves as the cellar door, imbibing an elegant rustic character into the experience. And with large windows opening out onto panoramic views of green vineyards, wine tastings and a delectable restaurant available, you can gain a true appreciation of the natural wonders this region brings.

Trofeo Estate encompasses 13.9-hectares under vine, with six varieties currently planted: pinot noir, chardonnay, pinot gris, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and a young and upcoming block of riesling. With plans for further plantings in coming years, the winery has established its pride of place within the delightful Mornington Peninsula region.

Crafting premium wines that clearly represent the flavours and characters of its variety and location, Trofeo Estate specialises in cool-climate varieties that are aged in terracotta amphora imported directly from Italy. An alternate option to the traditional oak barrels utilised by many other wineries, this historic method produces soft, elegant wines that pay true homage to the natural flavours and aromas of the fruit.

Refreshing and vibrant, this chardonnay delivers aromas of crisp white nectarines, Meyer lemon and citrus blossoms. Additional notes of ripe pineapple and peaches bring a complexity to the palate. Finishing with an elegant mouthfeel and vivid acidity, this sophisticated white wine is perfect to pair with seafood.
