Taltarni Vineyards

Taltarni was founded on the principle of individuality, independence and expression. As one of the pioneering wineries of the Pyrenees, innovative techniques are used today to produce a diverse range of high-calibre still red and white wines, and méthode-traditionalle-crafted sparklings.

Varieties of Taltarni include chardonnay and pinot noir for sparkling production, and shiraz and cabernet sauvignon sourced from vines planted in 1969. The winery continues to receive accolades at international and Australian wine shows. The 2015 Blanc de Blancs was recently awarded ‘Best in Class – Australian Blanc de Blancs’ and a gold medal at the 2019 Champagne and Sparkling World Wine Championships, a trophy at the 2019 Australian Cool Climate Wine Show, gold at the 2019 Victorian Wine Show and a gold medal at the 2019 Royal Melbourne Wine Show.

To ensure that you have Taltarni wine on hand for your next key moment, join the Taltarni Cellar Key Club. As a member, you receive your personal choice of award-winning wines delivered to your door with no shipping, or administration fees. You can choose which month your wine is delivered, and have the flexibility to change your wine selection as desired. Members also receive a complimentary sparkling to celebrate birthdays, and invitations to Taltarni special events.

Tasting Notes

2013 Taltarni Cuvée Rosé
⇐ 2015 Taltarni Blanc de Blancs

This wine has a fine mousse and persistent bead. Aromas of green apple and a hint of cinnamon are complemented by a perfectly balanced palate of brioche and mineral flavours, underpinned with crisp apple-like acid.

2016 Taltarni Old Vine Shiraz
⇐ 2017 Taltarni Old Vine Shiraz

Showing elegance and balance, this wine has layer upon layer of flavours that are complemented by currents, plums and spicy aromatics. The medium-weight palate offers succulence and seamless silky tannins, and lingers long after the wine.
