Passion and tradition are at the heart of Ian and Mark Summerfeld, owners of Summerfeld. For more than 35 years, the father–and–son team has used traditional winemaking methods, such as hand-picking grapes, using open vat fermentations, basket pressing and barrel maturation, to produce deep, hearty and bold premium red wines.

Ian and Mark’s passion for excellence has resulted in a legacy of premium wines, with every drop living up to the family seal of approval. With more than 30 trophies and 150 awards, Summerfeld consistently produces outstanding shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and merlot in both varietal and reserve forms.

Built for lasting quality, you can taste artistry and passion in every bottle.The winery has also opened a gourmet deli on the premises, with jams, smoked meats, cheese, olive oil, seasonal lamb and pork, and homemade sweets available.

For true wine lovers, there is the Summerfeld Cellar Club. As a member, you will be invited to attend special events, enjoy discounts and have access to wine offers.

Exclusive wines include Taiyo, Sahsah and Saieh, which have developed a huge following and are often sold out on release. These wines are only available through the mailing list and are special to the few people who are fortunate enough to have them in their cellar.

Sahsah 2016
Sahsah 2016

Made from Summerfeld’s old vine shiraz, this sahsah has a beautiful elegance, with plums and spice on the nose. The palate is perfectly balanced.

Saieh 2016
Saieh 2016

This wine is a true testament of Summerfeld’s old, big bold, and beautiful nature. The early ripening delivered a wine that is packed with ripe, fresh, and sweet fruit. Although not for the faint hearted, this is wonderful wine is a must for the cellar.

Taiyo 2016

2016 was a wonderful season for cabernet, and Summerfeld’s 1970 vines excel on years like that. Packed full of ripe, fresh fruit on the nose, the palate is full of varietal cabernet flavours.

Reserve Shiraz 2016

In 2016, the Pyrenees enjoyed an excellent year, which resulted in great wines. The nose of this shiraz is packed with plums, blackcurrants, and dark fruit aromas, while the palate is full, and supported with long soft tannins. This wine will reward cellaring.
