Red Hill Estate is an iconic multi-award-winning Mornington Peninsula wine producer that is not only renowned for its fine wines, but also for the superb panoramic views of Westernport Bay that can be enjoyed on a visit to the cellar door.
Owner Frank Fabrizio oversees the team, ensuring each vineyard is nurtured to create and refine the elegant, timeless wines that Red Hill Estate is known for. The fusion of the cool Mornington Peninsula climate with volcanic and sedimentary soils makes Red Hill Estate undeniably unique, contributing to the growth of pinot grigio, chardonnay, pinot noir, and other grape varieties. Wine enthusiasts can see the winemakers’ pursuit for perfection in the crafting and refining of Red Hill Estate’s signature wines, with each passionately handcrafted. To date, these wines have received a number of accolades at both Australian and international wine shows.
Visitors to the cellar door can experience guided tastings of the extensive range of styles produced under the Red Hill Estate label, and enjoy a unique Matched Food and Wine Experience – six iconic wines perfectly paired with six delectable tastes from Max’s Restaurant. Wine lovers can also participate in the Keys to the Mornington Peninsula Wine Club and take part in wine education events throughout the year.
The winery’s multi-award-winning restaurant, Max’s at Red Hill Estate, has a commendable status as the first winery restaurant on the Mornington Peninsula. With Australian Tourism Award Gold Medal Winner chef Max Paganoni at the helm, his dedication to utilising and promoting local produce is evident in his inspiring, flavourful menu.
Red Hill Estate’s cellar door is open from 11:00am each day, with tastings available until 5:00pm, and is a must-visit destination on your Mornington Peninsula itinerary.

This cool maritime-climate wine is barrel fermented in old French barriques with an extended time on lees. A subtle wine of tropical citrus flavours and a creamy texture, it sparkles with bright natural acidity.
⇐ 2018 Red Hill Estate ‘Merricks Grove’ Pinot Gris
Flavours of red apple and pear with balanced depth and viscosity along with a soft mid-palate minerality makes this wine a joy to drink. It’s finished with the classic gris composition of balanced and integrated acid.
⇐ 2019 Red Hill Estate ‘Merricks Grove’ Pinot Noir
Blood plum, red cherry and sweet pungent Christmas spice – think cinnamon and clove – tantalise the nose. This pinot noir is juicy and vibrant on the palate with a smooth and lingering finish.
⇐ 2019 Red Hill Estate Single Vineyard Shiraz
An elegant peninsula shiraz that shows great abundance of fragrant blueberry and dark cherry, an unmistakable black pepper element and a subtle, classy dark chocolate finish. To drink now or carefully cellar for up to ten years.
