Situated in the heart of the Yarra Valley is the prestigious Pimpernel Vineyards winery. Mark and Fiona Horrigan, the founders and owners of the winery, have been guided by one principle from the outset; extraordinary wine comes only from exceptional fruit.

With this as its underpinning philosophy, Pimpernel Vineyards is inspired by the great wineries and traditions of France, and adheres to old-world viticultural and winemaking practices. The entire vineyard is dry-grown and completely hand-tendered by vineyard manager and head winemaker, Damien Archibald, and his team.

Despite having just six hectares under vine, Pimpernel Vineyards conducts more than 50 separate small batch fermentations per year. This ensures the unique character of each ferment is captured, and that a vast array of base components can be assembled to create a complete wine of elegance and complexity.

Pimpernel Vineyards produces classic Yarra Valley wines including chardonnay, shiraz and pinot noir, as well as some less common varieties such as chenin blanc, viognier, fortified muscat, and one of Australia’s top-rated GSM blends.

Guests are invited to enjoy an intimate and unique cellar door experience at Pimpernel Vineyards; taking a hands-on approach, a member of the Horrigan family, or one of the Pimpernel Vineyards winemakers, will directly serve guests.
