The team at Fighting Gully Road are excited to announce the planting of the first blocks of the new Europa Vineyard. On the outskirts of Stanley, the new vineyard is situated at the coolest locality within the Beechworth wine region. Reaching 750 metres at its highest point, it is currently planted to chardonnay, pinot noir and recently introduced petit arvine – a white variety hailing from the Valais region of Switzerland. The team are currently in the process of preparing soil and trellising in anticipation of further plantings of pinot and chardonnay this spring. Fighting Gully Road are looking forward to a small harvest from these first plantings in vintage 2026.
