The A3 block Shiraz is handpicked from a single plot from the organically farmed Shay’s Flat vineyard in the Victorian Pyrenees. Vinified in a concrete tank using indigenous yeasts then aged in French Oak barriques for twelve months, the wine is bright and fresh with intense dark fruits and a long savoury finish. With a dark red and purple hue, the depth of flavour is evident in its bright and complex nose of blueberry and blackberry fruits, with hints of dark cherry and black olive.

Savoury and spiced, with a hint of liquorice and supple, delicate tannins to round out the aromatic flavour, the wine is a delectable addition to M. Chapoutier’s range. Available now at the picturesque cellar door, enjoy a glass of the brand-new Shay’s Flat vineyard block A3 shiraz alongside a local cheese platter while taking in the gorgeous natural surrounds of the beautiful Heathcote region.
