Harman Wines
Harman Wines
Established in the picturesque bass coast region sits a winery created by passion and love. Located a few minutes away from Inverloch, Wonthaggi and Kongwak, Harman Wines attracts over 35,000 visitors a year. Harman Wines specialise in premium cool climate maritime wines with the finest grapes that are picked and processed on-site. Varieties include chardonnay, pinot gris, sauvignon blanc, blanc de blanc, rose, pinot noir and syrah. The winery is the most awarded wine business within Gippsland, having won several prestigious Victorian, regional and local business awards. Most recently awarded with the Gippsland Business Award – Food and Wine Production 2023 and Bronze for Victorian Tourism Awards (Wineries, Distilleries & Breweries) 2023.
In 2004, David and Nicole Harman purchased a ten-acre property in Gippsland, with a dream to create a space to share quality food and wine with guests and loved ones. The cellar door opened in 2014, officially creating Harman Wines. In November 2024, the ten-year anniversary will be celebrated. David and Nicole, alongside their two children Jenna and James, dog Matilda, and some sheep and chickens are the family behind this authentic, gorgeous vineyard and winery. The successful family business will no doubt further blossom in the coming years.
Tasting Notes
⇐ 2022 Harman Wines Pinot Gris
Fresh, crisp, full-bodied wine styled towards the French styling of this grape. Made with an extended time on lees giving the pinot gris a rounded mouthfeel, with hints of citrus, peach and stone fruits, and natural acidity hitting the palate. Alcohol percentage of twelve and a half percent.
⇐ 2022 Harman Wines Chardonnay
Modern unwooded medium-bodied styled wine offering notes of fresh green apple and white peach. Extended lees contact, beautifully balanced acidity with lovely length and purity on the palate. 100% Estate grown at the Wattle Bank vineyard. Alcohol percentage of twelve and a half percent..
⇐ 2021 Harman Wines Rose
A darker coloured rose made from our pinot noir grapes. Strawberry fruit characters are underpinned by a spicy complexity. A light and moreish palate. Unfiltered with natural sediment. Alcohol percentage of twelve percent.
⇐ 2021 Harman Wines Gippsland Pinot Noir
Beautiful blend of grapes from across Gippsland that truly reflect the very best of our region. Comprising of both wild fermented and whole bunch, hand plunged four times a day until pressed, and matured in French oak barrique barrels. Rich in colour with silky tannins, and notes of soft berries and spice. Alcohol percentage of twelve and a half percent.
