Established in 1986 and nestled in the tranquil heart of the Yarra Valley, Chandon offers a bespoke journey into the craftsmanship of exceptional sparkling wines.
Chandon was founded more than sixty years ago by Robert Jean de Vogué with a vision and drive to redefine the creation and experience of sparkling wines. Having purchased the site for the cellar door and Coldstream vineyard in Green Point, an area that had been producing wine since 1840, Chandon struck gold in the Yarra Valley and is today recognised as one of Australia’s oldest and most prestigious wine regions.
With two additional cool-climate estate vineyards in the Strathbogie Ranges and Whitlands High Plateau, and a total of 190-hectares under vine, Chandon crafts wines that reflect and honour the distinctive aromas and characters of the Australian terroir. Chandon Terroir Yarra Valley 2018, recently awarded with a gold medal and ninety-seven points by the Halliday Wine Companion 2024, is a great example.
