Cappa Stone Wines
Cappa Stone Wines
Cappa Stone Wines is a boutique family-owned and -operated winery located in the gorgeous Red Cliffs, right by the Murray River and just a stone’s throw from Mildura. Specialising in alternative varieties like nero d’avola and vermentino, the winery offers an extensive range of whites and reds, including nebbiolo, shiraz, sangiovese, riesling, fiano and moscato, which was also Cappa Stone Wines’ very first release after its establishment in 2009, and continues to be a quality choice.
Producing stunning crops each year to achieve authentic, delicious flavours, Cappa Stone Wines does not limit itself to grape varieties, also offering an innovative and unique pomegranate wine that pairs beautifully with chocolatey desserts.
Not only can you enjoy unique wines when you visit this charming winery, but also a unique experience. Donna and Kade, the mother-and-son winemaking team, craft all wines by hand, and customers can watch the process while enjoying a wine tasting during vintage.
Managed by a passionate family, it is no surprise that each wine is made with love, earning Cappa Stone Wines a plethora of awards. The 2021 Australian Wine Showcase awarded the winery’s Pinnacle Range Shiraz 93 points, the nero d’avola took home 94 points, the vermentino 93 points, the fiano 91 points, and the Pinnacle Range Cabernet Sauvignon 91 points, bringing home an impressive three golds and two silvers.
The warm and rustic cellar door is open seven days a week, where you can build your own platter from a selection of local fruit, chocolate, cheeses, charcuterie and dips; the perfect accompaniment to any wine. If you’re not a wine drinker, Cappa Stone Wines also offers tea tastings of its exclusive house brand, Dynasty of Tea.
