A Quiet Countryside Haven
Mantons Creek Estate has recently received some well-deserved industry recognition, winning several medals at the 18th International Cool Climate Wine Show and the Mornington Peninsula Vignerons Wine Show. On the expansive grounds of the estate and hidden down a quiet country laneway, is a newly opened cellar door that’s not to be missed. While you’re there, why not sample the 2016 Pinot Noir? From the Hill Block, this pinot is redolent with intense currant, cherry and plum, with tarry spice and stalk overtones. This is the iconic wine of the cool-climate region. Another wonderful offering available later in 2019 from Mantons Creek Estate is the award-winning 2017 Gewürztraminer. This aromatic wine has prominent notes of lychee and spice. Open from 11:00am until 4:00pm every weekend, visitors can relish the beautiful vineyard views and unwind with a glass or two of wine. Award-winning varietals, such as the 2017 Chardonnay, 2017 Gewürztraminer and 2017 Pinot Gris are just some of the vintages to be available at the cellar door later this year.
