Clyde Park
Clyde Park
Clyde Park was first established in 1979 with small plantings of Chardonnay followed by a planting of Pinot Noir in 1986. Now, it offers award winning wine and magnificent views of the James Halliday Five Star rated vineyard and Moorabool Valley from the Clyde Park Vintners Lodge located at the top of the property.
The site consists of undulating north easterly slopes and soil that varies from silt/clay to sandy loam with basalt over a limestone base. The north easterly slope provides plenty of exposure to sunlight while the river flat area offers warmth and wind protection. The site produces premium fruit of low yields providing balanced wines of great purity, complexity and finesse.
There are twenty wines to discover at the cellar door. The winery’s enomatic wine system allows guests the opportunity to enjoy vertical tastings of its single block wines. The passionate team at Clyde Park also relish discussions about food, wine and terroir. Alongside the wines, guests can also enjoy an artisanal culinary experience at the winery’s on-site bistro with locally sourced and proudly home grown produce.
Tasting Notes
⇐ Clyde Park 2025 Estate Pinot Gris
The palate is strikingly dry with plenty of texture. A powerful, chalky acidity forms the wine’s structural core, lending a vibrant mineral sensation from start to finish. While the initial impression is savoury, a little honeysuckle and white blossom note emerges on the back palate, providing a delicate floral lift that beautifully counters the wine’s austerity.
⇐ Clyde Park 2025 Estate Chardonnay
The 2025 Clyde Park Estate Chardonnay is a medium straw colour and has fresh spiced apple pie aromas, with cedary intensity it is clean and is vibrant while offering warmth on the mid palate. The wine has crisp, fresh acidity, with a zesty crunchy finish
⇐ Clyde Park 2025 Estate Pinot Noir
The wine opens with an inviting and vibrant bouquet. The first impression is of fresh red and dark fruit—think bright mulberry and ripe red cherry, with a grace note of darker plum. The wine has a delicate floral lift, reminiscent of rose petals and a subtle, warming hint of cinnamon and sweet spice that speaks to its time in seasoned French oak
⇐ Clyde Park 2023 Single Vineyard Moranghurk Pinot Noir
Vibrant red purple in colour, this vineyard has a unique character that highlights this varietal. Dried herbs and dark berries, sweet spice and hints of cola. The palate is warm but with an intriguing line of structural tannins, fine and long this wine encompasses the regions characteristics.
